Medieval Theories of Consciousness (Chicago, 2024)

Medieval scholastic philosophers at the universities of Paris and Oxford from 1200 to 1350 engaged
in complex discussions of the nature of conscious experience. The conference aims to connect these insights and arguments from medieval texts to current philosophical discussions on consciousness.

The conference will occur from August 19-21, 2024 on the Water Tower Campus of Loyola University, Chicago, and on Zoom.
The venue is Simpson Hall on the third floor of Lewis Towers (111 E Pearson Street, Chicago IL 60611). The entrance is through LUMA on the corner of Pearson and Tower Ct.
